It was released simultaneously for multiple consoles and while the plot remains largely the same, there are differing styles of gameplay and graphics across platforms. The Sega CD version is a side-scrolling action game where the player controls Jonathan Harker as he travels through seven stages, based on scenes from the film. This version makes use of digitized backgrounds, digitized actors/objects, voice briefings before each level and full motion video (FMV) cutscenes from the film.
