Also known as PS2
The PlayStation 2 is the best-selling home console ever made. It launched in 2000 as a DVD player and a game console, played nearly every original PlayStation game, and stayed in production until 2013. A slimline model replaced the original "fat" console in 2004.
With a library of thousands of games, the PS2 has everything: Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X, God of War, Katamari Damacy and Silent Hill 2. Big sellers are inexpensive; the prices that climb are on late-life RPGs, survival horror and limited releases such as Rule of Rose, Haunting Ground, Kuon, Silent Hill 4 and the Shin Megami Tensei games.
Black-label first prints usually sell above Greatest Hits reprints. Disc read errors are the most common hardware fault, and fat models with a network adapter and hard drive are popular with people who play on original hardware.
