Why we built this

We grew up on Atari, Nintendo, and Sega, and like a lot of collectors our age, we eventually started to rebuild the game libraries we had as kids. 8bitedge started as a side project we wrote to solve a number of problems:

  1. Finding good retro game deals that matched our criteria in real time was nearly impossible.
  2. The listings worth buying disappeared in minutes.
  3. Manually scanning marketplaces was a time consuming endeavour.
  4. Determining if we're getting a good deal took time and effort.
